It’s a festival of the macabre, a callout to the Acadiana culture that gave birth to New Orleans.
It’s where the dark waters of the bayous meet the famous underbelly of NOLA to create something purely Louisiana.

The “Skelican” design was directly inspired by the myths, legends, and history that are distinctly New Orleans. A dark and brooding color palette is meant to reflect the deep waters of the bayous that are in and around the city. The vibrant, but not over-stated pops of purple and green represent the unique, eccentric, and extraordinary culture that NOLA possesses.
The Skelican design (along with the City Edition uniforms) was debuted on the NBA 2023 In-Season Tournament court.
